Family Link's Mission: The provision of leisure opportunities for children and young people with disabilities.
Each session offers a tailored programme of fun and enriching activities. We also invite external entertainers to bring additional variety, excitement, and stimulation to the experience. In addition to our club activities, we organise regular day trips out to local attractions such as bowling alleys, theatres, cinemas, and parks. These outings help develop social skills, confidence, and lasting friendships. Our services benefit not only the young people who attend but also provide essential respite for their families and carers.
At Family Link, we recognise how challenging and hard the transition from child to adult services can be for young people with disabilities. That’s why we offer continued support through this period, creating a stable and friendly environment where they can remain connected with their peers. We believe that each young person should decide when they are ready to move on, which is typically by the age of 25.

Family Link is a registered not-for-profit charity that provides leisure opportunities for children and young people aged 6 to 25 with high medical needs, and physical, learning, and complex disabilities. Based in the London Borough of Bromley (South East London) we, are dedicated to delivering inclusive, engaging, and supportive services.
We run Saturday sessions and holiday clubs designed to meet the individual needs of each young person. Our highly trained staff are equipped to support a wide range of care and health needs, ensuring every participant feels safe, supported, and valued.
A POEM ABOUT AUTISM
Autism is:
Unable to speak, or maybe speaking too much
Hugging everyone, or disliking touch
Escaping outside,
Or trying to hide
Excitedly flapping
Inappropriate clapping
Autism varies so much
Won't wear a coat, or wears one all year round
Fussy eater, or would eat dirt from the ground
Screaming or humming
Annoyingly drumming
Toys in a line
The same way every time
Autism varies so much
Struggling to learn, or has wonderful gifts
Obsessions of numbers, trains, films or lifts
Spinning around
Throws things on the ground
Constantly spitting
Aggressively hitting
Autism varies so much
Alone without friends, or controls every game
Always looks different, always dresses the same
Swinging on doors
Head banging on floors
Freaks at the dryer
Keeps climbing higher
Autism varies so much.
Can't answer questions, won't do as they're told
In their own world or bossy and bold
Over prepared
Anxious and scared
A spectrum so wide
But they all bring us pride
When autism touches our lives.
